Cartier Dior Eliasen is an 18 year old American fashion designer based in Paris, France. Cartier has been designing since the age of nine, when she made her first dress out of phonebooks. Since then, Cartier has made numerous advances in fashion design, including showing collections at Utah Fashion Week in 2016 and 2017, designing a crown for Miss Idaho to wear to the Miss America competition, and competing on the second season of Project Runway: Junior. Born and raised in the small town of Pocatello, Idaho, USA, Cartier moved to France in 2018 to study fashion design at the the prestigious Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Cartier's goal in the fashion industry is to combat the wasteful and harmful practices of the fashion industry and encourage consumers to shop secondhand, to mend and repurpose garments rather than throw them out, and to buy from independent designers rather than fast fashion brands.
